The New York Red Bulls stand right above the red line in the Eastern Conference with 20pts. A stretch of east coast rivalry wins will look to quell supporter unrest.

The New York Red Bulls will be engaged in a stretch of Eastern Conference showdowns in the upcoming days. RBNY will face NYCFC twice in ten days, and Philadelphia in between. In highly anticipated matches, NYCFC will be played on the 14th as a US Open Cup game at home. The second showdown will be on the 24th at Yankee Stadium as a regular MLS season match. The game against Philadelphia on the 18th is a rematch of RBNY’s earlier loss in the beginning of the season.

The secondary transfer window is also approaching. From July 10 to August 9, RBNY will be able to seek additions to their team and be able to make adjustments to its current roster.

New York Red Bulls fans hope to see the team bolster their attack. The team is finding it hard to find the back of the net this season with a -6 goal differential. This is the second worst in the East. Since the departure of Dax McCarty, RBNY are looking for a major attacking player to support BWP and Sacha in the final third of the field.

Defensively, RBNY seem to be doing alright. If RBNY can complete the team’s attack this upcoming transfer window, the defense will hopefully see less action. However, if RBNY can find a solid central midfielder or outside midfielder then it will certainly help the defense in transition moments of the match.

Earlier in the week, Metro New York’s Kristan Dyer observed that English side, Bristol City may be interested in Kemar Lawrence. Kemar Lawrence is having one of his best seasons in a Red Bulls uniform. Lawrence has posted a .31 shutout percentage so far this season.

Also, Kristen Dyer noted that Alexy Bosetti is on trial with the club. Bosetti is currently on loan to a Norwegian team this season, but is a product of OGC Nice Academy of France. Bosetti is 24 years old and is known to play in attacking positions.

Who would you like to see be brought to the New York Red Bulls in the transfer window?
