On this edition of New York Jets Gang Green News, somebody preaches patience for Christian Hackenberg and Marcus Maye is broken down.
Patience is a virtue. At least it is when applying it to many aspects of life.
In the NFL, patience is as good as delusions.
This isn’t baseball. This isn’t hockey. There are no farm teams and development needs to be considered on a week-by-week basis, rather than year-by-year. Rarely does a kid come out of college and not hit his height of production during the fourth or fifth year in the league.
We usually know immediately.
Enter Christian Hackenberg, the New York Jets bright-eyed second-round rookie. In this case, patience is real, as Hack has yet to partake in a single live NFL snap.
