Kristaps Porzingis’ brother reportedly met with New York Knicks president Phil Jackson. Apparently, it didn’t go well.

The New York Knicks are trying to smooth things over with Kristaps Porzingis. Team president Phil Jackson met with Porzingis’ brother Janis, also the Latvian star’s agent, about the infamously skipped exit meeting.

Apparently, it didn’t go very well.

However, the lengthy sit-down in New York accomplished very little to bridge the chasm as Jackson remained steadfast in his ways and direction, according to a team source.

Nothing shocking here. Phil Jackson is still a stubborn jerk and the Porzingis family isn’t happy about it. The 21-year-old maintains that he loves New York, but winning is what’s most important to him.

The relationship between player and team began to deteriorate during the season and imploded after Jackson insulted Carmelo Anthony at his post-season press conference.

Per Bondy, it’s “unclear” what was discussed in the meeting. Make your guesses accordingly. The words triangle and offense were likely mentioned at some point.
