New York Knicks: NBA Draft Prospect Frank Ntilikina Appears to be the Perfect Fit

The New York Knicks are all in on Frank Ntilikina. General manager Steve Mills is even scouting the point guard in person.

Kristaps Porzingis only played 21.4 minutes and therefore averaged 11.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in his final season playing international basketball.

It took seeing him in person to realize he could be a star. The New York Knicks are now going through the same process with French point guard Frank Ntilikina.

According to Marc Berman of The New York Post, general manager Steve Mills was in France for Ntilikina’s Tuesday night game to scout the prospect in person. Just as Mills did with Porzingis back in 2015.

Despite his uninspiring stats, the 18-year-old is the top international prospect in the draft and definitely worthy of a visit from the team.

Fans will be worried about taking a prospect from France because of the history with notorious first round bust Frederic Weis. That was in 1999, though. The drafting process has changed.

Nobody had ever heard of Frederic Weis back then. You won’t stop hearing the name Frank Ntilikina in connection to the Knicks right up until draft night.
