Watch New York Mets OF Michael Conforto lead off game one against the Atlanta Braves with an impressive home run, his seventh.

How does a team bounce back from devastating news that has their ace go down for several weeks with a messed of lat muscle?

They have their leadoff hitter go yard.

That’s just what happened during game one of the New York Mets-Atlanta Braves set down south. With Braves ace Julio Teheran on the bump for Atlanta, Mikey C. went liftoff for his seventh home run of the season (video above).

The Mets took the early 1-0 lead into the bottom of the inning until, unfortunately, Robert Gsellman surrendered a leadoff dinger of his own to Ender Enciarte.

The struggling Mets are in desperate need of a victory after all of the injury news to their two best players and getting smacked 23-5 on Sunday at the hands of the Washington Nationals.
