The New York Red Bulls will look to extend their excellent home record when they take on the Chicago Fire this Saturday in Harrison, New Jersey.

  • Chicago Fire (3-2-2, 11 pts)

  • Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey

The New York Red Bulls continued their impressive home form with dominant 2-0 victory over Columbus Crew last Saturday, and manager Jesse Marsch has vowed that his side will “give everything they have,” as they host the Chicago Fire in the final of three successive matches at the Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bulls remain unbeaten at home after three victories and a draw in four matches at Harrison this season. They have not yet conceded a goal at the Red Bull Arena.

Their excellent home record may well continue when the Fire visit. Chicago have earned just a single point in three away matches this season as they have struggled on the road. Most recently, they were trounced by Toronto when they fell 3-1 in Canada.

Former Red Bulls Dax McCarty will return to the Red Bulls arena for the first time since his transfer to Chicago.

“I think it will be a special moment for him, a special moment for our fans,” said Marsch about McCarty’s reunion. However, Marsch does not expect McCarty’s relationship to the club to pose any limitations on his effort.

“He’ll be ready to give everything he has,” Marsch stated.

Marsch’s men currently sit third in the Eastern Conference table, but will wind up two points behind Saturday’s opponents, who have a game in hand, should they endure a defeat.

Their fixture with Chicago will be the first of three in seven days. The Harrison side are away to Kansas on May 3 and will feature at the Philadelphia Union three days later.
