The New York Jets are still looking to trade defensive end Sheldon Richardson since they weren’t able to trade him last year.

Entering the second day of the 2017 NFL draft the New York Jets are still looking to trade defensive end Sheldon Richardson.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Jets are making calls in an attempt to trade Richardson. He added that the Jets won’t just give the defensive end away either. Trade rumors are nothing new for Richardson since the Jets trade to trade him last year.

The Jets have talked to the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos about trading the defensive end, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

The defensive end is entering the final year of his contract and is scheduled to make about $8 million this year, according to Chris Wesseling of NFL.com.

Richardson had 62 combined tackles, one forced fumble and 1.5 sacks last year. He has 241 combined tackles, five forced fumbles, and 18 sacks in his career.

It seems that the Jets are happy keeping Muhammad Wilkerson and Leonard Williams and really want to get rid of Richardson. It will be interesting to see if any team is willing to take Richardson away from the Jets.
