With a home run in the second inning against the Red Sox, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge joined some legends on an exclusive list.

Aaron Judge entered play on tonight against the Boston Red Sox leading the New York Yankees in home runs (six), tied with Chase Headley for the most RBIs (14) and owned the third-highest wRC+ (170).

It is also his 25th birthday and what do you get when you mix a special occasion and hot play at the plate? I’m sure there’s no science behind it, but Judge got a birthday bash!

In the top of the second inning at Fenway Park, Judge celebrated hitting the quarter-century mark by smacking a two-run home run to right-center off of the reigning American League Cy Young award winner, Rick Porcello.

Not only did it give the Bombers a 2-0 lead, but according to the Elias Sports Bureau, he became the third Yankees hitter to hit a home run on his 25th birthday at Fenway Park. Yogi Berra and Roger Maris are the only other two to do so.

I’m not quite sure where all the folks that deemed this kid a “bust” are right now, but he’s now in company with Berra and Maris while establishing himself as one of the more powerful hitters in the game. Yes, you can stay hidden.
