Jay Cutler‘s agent tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter that his client will not retire despite the rumors to the contrary.

Sorry to all the haters, Jay Cutler is staying in the NFL. The 33-year-old’s agent told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter that the free agent quarterback isn’t ready to retire.

“Jay wants to play football. He never has mentioned retirement to me,” Cook told Schefter. “Jay Cutler, as far as I know, is ready to play and wants to play, and his skill set is as good as any quarterback in the league.”

Cutler was released by the Bears back on March 9 and since then the only time he’s made news when a naked picture of him showed up on his wife’s Instagram page.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported in March that the New York Jets have been in touch with Cutler.

Chicago wanted to move in a different direction after an injury-plagued 2016-17 season from Cutler. He only played in five games due to injury. Cutler developed a bad reputation for underachieving and poor decision-making.

It didn’t work out with the Bears, but eventually, he will be signed by a team. Tony Romo’s out of the mix, so the Texans are in the market for a quarterback, and a potential Broncos return is on the table too.
