Castro took matters into his own hands Saturday afternoon, launching a three-run home run to erase the 3-0 deficit to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Castro’s shot marks his first hit of the day and his fourth home run of the season. He also brought in his 13th RBI on the play.
Despite Castro’s massive error in the field last night, he has been remarkably hot at the plate. In his past seven games, he has batted .409 with nine hits and three runs scored.
Jacoby Ellsbury got the rally started in the top of the sixth with an infield single, follow by a five-pitch walk off of starter Jameson Taillon. Then came the big blow by Castro.
After last night’s dismal offensive performance, where they scored all three runs off of Pirates miscues, Castro broke open the offensive floodgates.
Castro’s three-run shot off a first pitch fastball was followed by a huge two-run double by shortstop Ronald Torreyes.
