With game three turning into a silent affair, Pierre McGuire, while talking with Mike Francesa, calls the New York Rangers spoiled.

It’s no secret Madison Square Garden has shockingly turned into a house of horrors for the New York Rangers. Not only did they struggle at home during this regular season, they’ve now lost an incredible six straight playoff games at MSG.

Worse yet, they’ve tallied just four goals in those six games.

The most recent horror came on Sunday night when the Montreal Canadiens dominated the home team while taking a 2-1 series lead.

On Tuesday, prior to game four at the Garden, NBCs’ Pierre McGuire offered up an opinion on why the Garden’s sounded so quiet as of late. While on WFAN with Mike Francesa, McGuire suggested that the Rangers have become a tad “spoiled” through the years.

By no means did McGuire mean this as a slight to the Rangers faithful, but it will most definitely come across as such. By spoiled, he meant more along the lines of the organization doing such a tremendous job of treating the players that perhaps that hyperactivity has vanished some.

In any event, his words have now meshed well with Carey Price‘s statement that “MSG isn’t a scary place to play anymore.”

Game four is Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Montreal Canadiens lead the series 2-1.

Update: The original title has been altered to fix an editorial error. McGuire spoke about the Rangers “team” feeling a tad spoiled thanks to the way the organization treats them, not the fans. In any event, the same could be said for the fans (as the organization is first-rate across the board).
