With game four tied at one apiece, New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh finds Rick Nash to provide the Blueshirts a 2-1 lead.

Game four of the first round Stanley Cup Playoff series between the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens has played out entirely differently than game three.

 

Actually, that’s a drastic understatement. The giant egg the Rangers laid on Madison Square Garden’s ice surface on Sunday night now feels like a distant memory through 30 minutes of play tonight.

Not only did New York score in the first period, they currently hold a 2-1 lead over the Habs.

The men responsible for this tiebreaking goal are Ryan McDonagh and Rick Nash. First, the captain kept the put in on the blueline. Then, he executed a picture-perfect pass to Nash along the goal line.
