Per Ian Begley of ESPN.com, New York Knicks‘ Kristaps Porzingis skipped his exit meeting over the dysfunction surrounding the team.
Things are really bad for the New York Knicks. Bad. They’ve hit DEFCON five. Kristaps Porzingis is angry.
According to Ian Begley of ESPN.com, the unicorn skipped his exit meeting with the team because he’s frustrated “over dysfunction, drama surrounding [the Knicks].”
When Phil Jackson humiliated Carmelo Anthony at Jackson’s press conference on Friday afternoon, the Phil defenders came to his rescue saying that their 11-ringed hero was just telling the truth. Jackson was transparent.
You may not like Carmelo Anthony, but Porzingis has always been a huge fan. He’s supported his teammate through all the criticism lobbed his way and clearly had his back today as well.
Porzingis was one of many who “liked” Anthony’s Instagram post in response to Jackson’s defamatory press conference remarks.
Just a month ago the young Latvian was saying that he loved to play in Jackson’s patented triangle offense. He was the coaches (sorry I mean president’s) dream. So, what happened Phil?
Regardless of how you feel or don’t feel about the Zen Master, we can all agree that an angry Porzingis means a horrible future in New York. Phil needs to fix this and soon.
Well, Porzingis just proved Phil Jackson is correct when he said that Porzingis isn't ready to lead a team.
Bad move by Porzingis and makes me wonder if he's cracking under the pressure of being put under the microscope.
Expect Phi Jackson to engage Boston, Philly and other teams with high draft picks and quality young players in trade talks for Porzingis.
Knicks fans who wanted a rebuild, just may see what a real rebuild looks like.
