The New York Yankees have something to celebrate and are back on top again in today’s edition of the Bomber Buzz.

It’s nice to be the number one team. Of course, the New York Yankees have been number one 27 times. However, that kind of recognition never gets old.

The Yankees love the spotlight and they got blessed with more attention by Forbes Magazine.

As if they needed the extra help. Regardless, Forbes Magazine has rated the Yankees the most valuable Major League Baseball team for 2017.

That’s right, for the 20th straight year, the Yankees are the most valuable MLB team according to Forbes. Now that is something we can hold over the heads of other teams.

And if you ever hear any more crap about the Yankees from fans of the Boston Red Sox, just show them this graphic.

With that valuable team title comes a whole new slew of jerseys. Well, jerseys for the various holidays, that is.

While they don’t look a whole lot different than their traditional counterparts, they are trying.

The uniforms, leaked by SportsLogo.net founder Chris Creamer, have been flaunted on the internet all day to mixed reactions from fans.

I think you found a new guy to follow, as Creamer was also the one who leaked the Yankees spring training caps early.

But enough about the major leagues. What about what’s going on down on the farm? The farm system is teeming with ripe prospects, getting ready to take their shot with the Yankees.

Let’s start down in Trenton. For the Trenton Thunder, the Yankees are seeing excellent at-bats from third baseman Miguel Andujar.

So far in Double-A, Andujar is batting .333 with a few strong performances in his past few games.

Matt Kardos, why typically reports on the Thunder, has been following Andujar closely as well as another phenom in Gleyber Torres.

Torres has been working on an eight day rotation in positions, including shortstop, second base, third base and centerfield.

Of course, we can’t forget to mention Triple-A Scranton and our good friend Luis Cessa. Cessa earned his first victory of the season in the RailRiders’ home opener.

Pay close attention to the farm, ladies and gentleman. We’ve got a great group coming up.

So we survived the off-day. Now it’s back to baseball at the Stadium! Thank goodness for baseball!
