New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes absolutely crushes a ball in Philadelphia that went for a three-run home run against the Phillies.

In the world of Major League Baseball, there are home runs and there are home runs. The second, yet sneaky version comes when the baseball is absolutely destroyed off the bat. It’s the version that produces a moment in time in which every onlooker at the stadium, fan in the living room and pitcher on the mound understands that looking is optional.

The sound alone tells the story.

On Tuesday night in Philadelphia with his New York Mets taking on the Phillies, Yoenis Cespedes provided a home run.

Take a look at the video above. Better yet, just listen. After both Curtis Granderson and Asdrubal Cabrera reached base against the struggling Clay Buchholz, Cespedes smacked his second shot of season putting his team up 3-0 in the first inning (video above).

Since then, Matt Harvey easily retired all three Phils in the bottom half of the frame and the Mets are threatening again in the second.
