Don’t close your eyes New York Mets fans — Tim Tebow might be in Queens sooner rather than later if he keeps hitting with power like this.

Apparently “Tebow Time” is becoming an almost daily occurrence now.

Former NFL quarterback turned MLB ‘prospect,’ Tim Tebow, is providing some power in the lineup of the New York Mets Low-A team in South Carolina, the Columbia Fireflies.

During today’s game against the Augusta GreenJackets, Tebow went yard with a three-run blast, helping lead the Fireflies to a commanding 6-0 lead, that led to an eventual win. The victory completed a four-game sweep over the GreenJackets.

Tebow crushed a home run in his first at-bat of the season earlier in the week. He was 1-for-5 in that game, with two RBIs in that win against the GreenJackets.

So far, Tebow is sporting a batting average near the Mendoza line, as he’s hitting .231. He’s just 3-for-13 on the year, but two of his three hits have landed over the fence.

Tebow’s slugging percentage currently sits at .692, showcasing his extra-base ability in just a small sample size. It’s early on and it’s only Low-A ball, but so far he hasn’t looked too bad.

Although, remember a few weeks ago towards the end of spring training when he attempted to face Cy-Young winner Max Scherzer? If you don’t, allow us to remind you.
