Dustin Johnson, the World’s top-ranked golfer, has withdrawn from the Masters with a lower back injury.

To the dismay of most golf fans, Dustin Johnson is indeed not playing in this years Masters.

Johnson slipped and fell down a set of stairs this week in the house his family is renting near the course. The world Number one fell on his lower back and had “hope” to play in the Masters.

Johnson was scheduled had a 2:03 tee time this afternoon, but backed out at the last second, this allowed for the longest time for recovery.

The 32-year-old American is enjoying a great 2017 season with victories in the Genesis Open, WGC-Mexico Championship and WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play since February.

OddsShark had Johnson is currently the No. 3 choice to win the Masters behind Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy, but he was the heavy favorite prior to the injury.
