Just 56 seconds after Evander Kane and the Buffalo Sabres took the lead, the New York Islanders’ Josh Ho-Sang responded in style. His goal put the Isles in front 2-1.

The Buffalo Sabres had tied the game and the New York Islanders had been looking flat for most of the second period.

After being outplayed and thoroughly outshot in the frame, Josh Ho-Sang carried the puck and turned on the jets, never looking back until the goal celebration (video above).

If anybody needed further evidence that this kid is for real, here it is.

Dennis Seidenberg got the lone assist on Ho-Sang’s goal, his fourth of the season.

In the absence of the captain, John Tavares, the first line has been a notable presence on the ice as the two rookies, Anthony Beauvillier and Josh Ho-Sang, get to know each other more and more.

The Islanders are currently leading the Sabres 2-1 as the second period comes to a conclusion. Tune into the action on MSG+ as the Islanders continue to claw their way up in the standings.
