New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan provides nothing on a conference call while he and the suits look for a franchise quarterback.

New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan jumped on a conference call on Friday and, as expected, provided absolutely nothing. With all of the familiar faces asking hard-hitting, in-depth questions, the Jets GM promptly wasted everybody’s time by dodging each and every one.

The main topic of conversation revolved around, what else … the quarterback position.

With Josh McCown now officially in tow, the veteran presence is in-house. But that doesn’t mean Mikey Mac won’t go shopping for a shiny new toy during the 2017 NFL Draft.

Rumors remain strong that Mitch Trubisky is an apple of the Jets’ eye. A private workout has been scheduled.

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting that Notre Dame product DeShone Kizer will also be one to hold a private workout with New York. He also asks whether or not if the Jets were clueless or clever in signing the veteran McCown.

No matter who the rookie may be, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News proclaims the organization must find a franchise QB in a hurry.
