Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in.

Through 59 games of this 2017 NCAA Tournament, we saw no buzzer-beaters, no overtime. This is something of a rarity during March Madness.

On Friday night at Madison Square Garden, the Florida Gators and Wisconsin Badgers changed all of that.

Down double-digits in the second half, Wisconsin battled all the way back. Needing a three-pointer to tie things up, Aaron Rodgers got involved. That’s right, Aaron Rodgers.

Guard Zak Showalter nailed this bumbling runner of a three that tied things up. With Rodgers sitting courtside, the Discount Double Check move was appropriate:

It would not be the lasting memory of this game because what happened in overtime was beyond any comprehension.

Needing to go coast-to-coast in under four seconds, junior guard Chris Chiozza created one of the top college hoops memories Madison Square Garden has ever showcased:

What’s crazy is that both memorable shots were of the same ilk: three-point runners that rarely go down.

The Florida Gators will now take on the red-hot South Carolina Gamecocks in the regional final on Sunday.
