Former New York Knicks teammates Charles Oakley and Patrick Ewing are apparently feuding over the incident at MSG.

Charles Oakley and Patrick Ewing were teammates with the New York Knicks for ten seasons. They went to the playoffs in each season and even reached an NBA Finals during the 1993-94 season. Oakley was known for being the enforcer that had Ewing’s back.

According to Oak, after the incident at Madison Square Garden back in Feb. Ewing didn’t return the favor. He told TMZ Sports that he was “hurting” due to the Hall of Famer not reaching out.

Via Ian Begley of ESPN:

“I’m hurting because he didn’t call in and show love because I had his back for 10 years,” Oakley said, according to TMZ Sports, pointing out that Michael Jordan got involved in an attempt to broker peace between Oakley and Knicks owner James Dolan. “You should have been the first one who said something about what happened in The Garden. Should have been the first one.”

Oakley does make an interesting point. Michael Jordan has no affiliation with the franchise, and he became involved.

It makes sense that Ewing would at least make a call to Knicks owner James Dolan. Hopefully, this doesn’t become a legitimate feud. The last thing fans want to see is a problem between two of their favorite players.
