NC quarterback Mitch Trubisky will have a private workout and a pre-draft visit with the New York Jets, who are looking for a franchise QB.

After signing free agent quarterback Josh McCown, the New York Jets have scheduled a private workout with quarterback prospect Mitch Trubisky.

The Jets were at Trubisky’s pro day at North Carolina on Tuesday.

During his inital showcase, Trubisky completed 54 of 63 passes and had four drops, according to Lorenzo Reyes of USA Today. The other incompleted passes were overthrown.

Gang Green will also have a pre-daft visit with the quarterback at their facility, in addition to the workout.

The Jets aren’t the only team that the prospect will work out for. Trubisky will also have workouts with the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Trubisky has very good arm strength and mobility. His accuracy does need a little work, though. The Jets have an interest in the quarterback and liked what they saw from him in his 13 starts last year.

Quarterback DeShone Kizer of Notre Dame will have his pro day on Thursday and the Jets will be there as well.
