The New York Giants are still waiting for an answer from defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, who is exploring free-agency.

The New York Giants are growing impatient and want an answer from defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins. Hankins is exploring the free agent market and it’s unknown whether or not he’ll be back.

The Giants have given the defensive tackle an offer but he hasn’t accepted or declined it yet. He is trying to get a bigger deal than what Big Blue offered him. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the free-agent has been looking for a better deal for weeks but hasn’t found one yet.

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the defensive tackle wants a multi-year contract and wants to make at least $8 million a year. However, it looks like no team is willing to pay him that much.

Hankins was drafted by the Giants in 2013. Last year he had 43 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble. However, Pro Football Focus gave him a poor grade for his performance last year.

The poor grade may be why the Giants have re-signed John Jerry and Jason Pierre-Paul and signed D.J. Fluker and Brandon Marshall. Hankins might as well return to the Giants because I don’t think that another team will give him what he’s looking for.
