New York Giants: Has Jason Pierre-Paul Signed a Long-Term Deal or Not?

Conflicting reports have emerged on the status of New York Giants’ defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul’s contract extension.

New York Giants’ fans rejoiced as news dropped on Twitter that the team had agreed on a lucrative extension with defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. Big Blue reportedly had a four-year, $64 million deal (with $54 million guaranteed) in place for the two-time Pro Bowler.

However, the excitement quickly turned to confusion as JPP himself took to Twitter to refute the rumors.

It’s a puzzling development as fans must now sit tight and wait for this bizarre story’s resolution. Perhaps Pierre-Paul wanted to make it clear he had not signed anything yet and that the deal was simply in place. None of the reports suggested he had actually signed anything, simply that both sides had reached an agreement on a contract.
