On this date for NBA DFS, Mar. 16, 2017, Carmelo Anthony and Brook Lopez are just two of the plays you should play in that lineup.

March Madness starts tonight but for those die-hard NBA fans, this is the perfect opportunity to make money.

Everyone and their moms will be focused on the tournament. Pay attention and look at the teams recent rotations because they are not changing for the rest of the season.

The contending teams will play their stars big minutes and the teams out of it will play their young players. Good luck on your brackets but also good luck for DFS tonight.

Point Guard:

Mike Conley vs Atlanta Hawks

Every article that I have written and the Hawks have played, I have said to attack the Hawks point guard. Conley will have a field day tonight and he will easily meet his value. This is one of the few nights you don’t stack Conley with Gasol because of the elite under-the-basket defense of the Hawks.

Russell Westbrook vs Toronto Raptors

No matter how high his price is, you need to get him into your lineups. Teams are playing cheap players more minutes and you can find solid value to pair up with Westbrook. He is a triple-double machine and he is determined to finish the season averaging one. Build around Westbrook tonight in at least one lineup.

Chris Paul vs Denver Nuggets

Along with the Hawks, the Nuggets are horrible on defense at the point guard position. Chris Paul is still too cheap and this is an elite match-up for him. This will be the highest scoring game of the night and starting with CP3 is a great start. Pair him with Blake Griffin, they can be the highest-scoring duo of the night.

Shooting Guard:

DeMar DeRozan vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Tonight you should pay up for shooting guard. This will be an up and down game and DeRozan will continue to lead the Raptors on offense. He has been struggling over the last two weeks and that we reduce his ownership. I love playing guys who have been struggling and are all-star caliber talent. Raptors/Thunder and Clippers/Nuggets will be the best two games to stack tonight.

Victor Oladipo vs Toronto Raptors

Again shooting guard is not deep and you will need to play one of the top three (DeRozan, Oladipo or Thompson). Oladipo has been helping Westbrook with the offensive load and along with Kanter, these three will lead the Thunder in scoring.

Small Forward:

LeBron James vs Utah Jazz

He is the best player on earth and he keeps putting up monster stat lines. His price will be lower because of the tough matchup. LeBron should win MVP this year and there isn’t a team or player that can slow him down. People need to stop comparing him to MJ and appreciate his greatness. Enjoy watching him play tonight and add him to your lineup.

Juancho Hernangomez and Wil Barton vs Los Angeles Clippers

With all the injuries to the Nuggets, Juancho and Barton will receive a huge uptick in minutes. When both are given the playing time they are point per minute players which is exactly what you want in DFS players. These two will be cheap for the number of minutes that they will receive.

Carmelo Anthony vs Brooklyn Nets

Carmelo is an absolute headache to play in DFS because he is a true two outcome player. He will be good or very bad. The good games are still hard to watch and he won’t give you the elite production that he once would provide. The Nets are horrible on defense and one would hope he will show some pride and prove that he is the king of New York basketball.

Power Forward:

Blake Griffin vs Denver Nuggets

With the injuries to the Nuggets, they will have Will Barton or Juancho Hernangomez defending Blake. He will have a field day on anyone the Nuggets try to defend him with. Playing the Clippers big three with the other cheap Nugget players will give you a great chance to win whatever tournament you are in. Blake and CP3 need to be paired and in your lineups.

Aaron Gordon vs Golden State Warriors

This is the type of game where Gordon will thrive in. Fast paced and up-and-down games will play right into his skill set. His price tag is good and his upside in this game is incredible. Gordon can win us a lot of money tonight but it won’t be easy to hit the submit button because of his inconsistent play.

Trevor Booker vs New York Knicks

Porzingis is doubtful to play in this game which means the Knicks will be terrible at rebounding the ball. Booker plays about 20-25 minutes a game which is scary but he produces with very little playing time. I am banking on him grabbing double digit rebounds and with the weak Knicks defense, he can score easily.

Center:

Brook Lopez vs New York Knicks

Brook has been the most consistent Nets player all year and now he gets the Knicks. He doesn’t rebound the ball but he has a chance to score 30 points tonight. Hopefully, he shows a little bit of effort on the boards tonight and if he does, Brook will give us great value. Brook will continue to be the centerpiece of the Nets offense.

Jonas Valanciunas vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Jonas plays a lot of minutes when the opposing team has big centers. The Thunder have two big centers in Kanter and Adams which means if Jonas can stay out of foul trouble, he will contribute big numbers. If Jonas matches up with Kanter, he will have a field day and can easily have a 15-15 type of game. His price tag is reasonable and with his upside, he is worth the risk. Pair him up with safer plays such as CP3 and Blake to make sure your team has a good base in case he doesn’t receive the minutes.

DeAndre Jordan vs Denver Nuggets

This is the perfect game for DeAndres style of play. Fast paced games with little defense on the Nuggets side will mean he will grab a ton of rebounds and have a chance at multiple blocked shots. It is rare to play three players from the same team but with the Clippers, playing the Clippers big three will pay off.
