With March Madness comes Mr. New York, the champ crowned from the ESNY Player’s Tourney including Noah Syndergaard, Odell Beckham Jr. & more.

It’s here. With March comes the NCAA Tournament, which means that fuzzy and heartwarming tagline of March Madness will flood your TV and computer screens for the next three weeks.

It also means the ESNY Player’s Tournament has arrived.

The 32-player tourney matching up great athlete against phenomenal stud has come and it’ll determine who’s crowned Mr. New York.

This year, the four top seeds come in the form of Noah Syndergaard, Odell Beckham Jr., Henrik Lundqvist and Carmelo Anthony. While they feel like a lock to make it to the Final Four, it will ultimately come down to you, the fan, to make that happen.

Over the course of the next three-plus weeks, we’ll have the New York fan vote on each matchup, eventually bringing us to the championship matchup around the same time the NCAA crowns its next champion.

  • Round 1: Mar. 15 through 18
  • Round 2: Mar. 19 through 22
  • Elite 8: Mar. 23 through 26
  • Final Four: Mar. 27 through 30
  • Championship: Mar. 31 through Apr. 3

Each matchup will be presented in this article, below, as well as each social media platform (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). All votes, on each platform, will be counted up towards the total.

There’s only one thing left to ask, “Who will be Mr. New York in 2017?”

Round 1

The first round ended in thrilling fashion, showcasing predictable results on some cases and ridiculous results in other spots.

The upset of the round went to Dellin Betances as he took down Carmelo Anthony in defiant fashion (69 percent to 31 percent). Despite Damon Harrison retweeting the poll on his behalf, Yankees Gary Sanchez eeked out a win.

Here’s the full Sweet 16 with all eight individual matchups set to be voted on come Saturday morning-afternoon:

Round 2

Round 3

It’s been all Yankees, all the time. Both Dellin Betances and Masahiro Tanaka upset John Tavares and Noah Syndergaard, respectively, in close calls. In the end, the ESNY Yankees crowd is getting it done. Three of the four Yankees find themselves alive with eight players remaining.
