According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the New York Knicks filled the roster spot vacated by Brandon Jennings with Chasson Randle.

Chasson Randle was a star for the Westchester Knicks in the D-league this season. Many New York Knicks fans wanted the team to call him up to the main roster, but before they could the Philadelphia 76ers scooped him up. Randle was waived last week to open up a roster spot, and the pieces fell into place for a reunion.

Brandon Jennings told the Knicks he wanted out. Reportedly to a contender, and when they couldn’t trade him the team cut ties. Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks will add Randle to replace the recently waived Jennings.

Randle’s been with the Philadelphia 76ers since the beginning of January and played in eight games before being waived on Feb. 23.

He posted modest averages of 9.3 minutes, 0.8 assists, and 0.8 3-point attempts made on a 0.4 steals on a slash line of .462/.400/1.000.

The Knicks get a second chance with Randle. The season’s over it’s time to see what the 24-year-old can give them.
