New York Mets outfielder Tim Tebow looked for some guidance to improve his hitting this offseason in the form of Daniel Murphy.

Following a disappointing start to his journey for major league action, New York Mets outfielder Tim Tebow sought help in the form of former postseason hero Daniel Murphy.

Murphy recently said at Nationals spring training camp that he had spent some time in the offseason working with Tebow on his hitting and how he believes he has great potential.

“I think that the power is real. What he needs is at-bats,” Murphy said. “He needs 500, 600 plate appearances to try to make adjustments on the fly. … He’s done all this work, and he’s improved greatly”

Tebow is doing a good deed for himself by reaching out to one of the best hitters in the league for some support in making his swing stronger.

Hopefully for Tebow, this apprenticeship can benefit him this season in making contact and hopefully earn himself a promotion to a higher level within the organization.
