Charles Oakley will reportedly be heading to Cleveland in order to attend the New York Knicks’ first game since the All-Star break.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News first reported that Charles Oakley would be in attendance for the New York Knicks‘ first game since the All-Star Break against the Cavs.

On Thursday, Oakley took to Twitter to confirm this news.

This comes weeks after the Knicks, led by owner James Dolan, embarrassed Oakley and themselves by throwing the Knicks’ legend out of a nationally televised game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Oakley, who was originally drafted by Cleveland but traded on draft night, has received an enormous amount of support from players across the NBA. One of these players was “The King” himself, Lebron James. Although the two are close, Isola reported that it is unclear whether Oakley will be a guest of James or not.

While Oakley was never a Cavalier, he will certainly be treated better in Quicken Loans Arena than in Madison Square Garden, where he gave his blood, sweat and tears for the team who humiliated him in front of his own fans.
