New York Jets’ cornerback Darrelle Revis has been charged with four felonies by Pittsburgh police following a street altercation Sunday morning.

In a shocking turn of events, New York Jets‘ cornerback Darrelle Revis is facing robbery, terroristic threats, conspiracy and aggravated assault charges after an alleged altercation in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning.

According to ESPN, Revis’ attorney, Blaine Jones, told ESPN that Pittsburgh police have informed him that the Jets’ cornerback is, in fact, being charged. A warrant for his arrest will be issued and Revis will turn himself into police, according to Jones.

Revis, almost two years removed from signing his five-year, $70 million ($39 million guaranteed) contract with the New York Jets, struggled mightily in the second year of his contract.

The New York Jets’s decision to part ways with one of the premiere players in the history of their franchise has now become a no-brainer. No. 24 may not be seen on the Jets’ sidelines this season or, at least, being worn by Revis.
