Mark Teixeira expected to become analyst for ESPN (Report)

It has only been a few months since Mark Teixeira played his final game, but he has seemingly already moved on, becoming an analyst for ESPN.

According to David Waldstein of The New York Times, former New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is set to join ESPN as an analyst with an announcement expected on Tuesday.

Throughout his career Teixeria was always considered to have a great mind for the game, he should fit in perfectly with ESPN as an on-air talent with his great personality.

In 2014, the 36-year old was a guest host on the “Mike & Mike” show where he did pretty well in his radio debut. Fans have also gotten a chance to see Teixeira’s off the field persona a few years back when he debuted “Foul Territory”.

Who could possibly forget this classic of a short series where Teixeira would take different members of the Yankees organization and sit down for an interview with them in foul territory to make their lives as awkward as possible.

While his time at ESPN will be nothing like “Foul Territory”, it will certainly be intriguing to see Tex interpret his great baseball mind through the largest sports network in the world.
