Former President George H.W. Bush tosses coin at Super Bowl 51 (Video)

Just a week after being discharged from a Houston hospital, former president 41st president helped tossed the coin at Super Bowl 51.

It has been a tough couple months for former president George H.W. Bush, who currently resides in Houston, but he managed to make it to the Super Bowl and help toss the coin at pregame.

The 41st President of the United States was hospitalized last month with a respiratory issue originating from pneumonia. He was discharged from a Houston hospital on January 30 after a 16-day stay.

His wife, Barbara Bush, also spent days in the same hospital at the same time for bronchitis. She was with president Bush as he tossed.

Bush received a huge ovation and even saw his toss bounce a little wild to the left. Nevertheless, the coin landed on tails (for all you prop betters) and the Atlanta Falcons decided to defer the choice to the second half.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots received the kickoff.
