Too little too late. The New York Knicks played a miserable first half and were down 27 points with 2:35 left in the third quarter before ending on an 11-0 run.
Despite outscoring the Cleveland Cavaliers 36-27 behind the stellar fourth quarter play of Brandon Jennings and Willy Hernangomez, it was too little too late. When you’re playing one of the best teams in the NBA you can’t just show up for the final twelve minutes.

The lion’s share of the blame for this one is going to fall on Carmelo Anthony‘s shoulders. He did have one of his worst games of the season and was severely outplayed by his rumored trade counterpart Kevin Love.
LeBron James put on another Madison Square Garden show with 32 points, 10 assists (one more magnificent than the next), and five rebounds.
When Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis finish at a combined 9-of-30 from the field with 26 points the Knicks aren’t going to win many games.
Key Player
Joakim Noah left the game in the first quarter due to injury and didn’t return, and Willy Hernangomez took advantage. He logged a career-high 36 minutes and scored 16 points to go along with 5 rebounds.
Key Stat
The Knicks missed 14 free-throws (14-28) after missing 12 in Wednesday’s win against the Brooklyn Nets. Anthony was 1-of-6. It really wasn’t his night.
