New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek announced that Derrick Rose is out Tuesday vs. the Wizards and likely Wednesday vs. the Nets too.

The New York Knicks will be without their starting point guard for at least one more game.

According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Jeff Hornacek announced that Derrick Rose (ankle) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Washington Wizards and is likely to miss Wednesday game against the Brooklyn Nets too.

Brandon Jennings will presumably have the unenviable task of guarding Wizards point guard John Wall. The All-Star is looking forward to his third game against the Knicks in 2016-17.

In the two previous meetings, Wall averages 26.0 points, 12.0 assists, and 2.0 steals on a slash line of .500/.444/.857. The Wizards won both games.

This will be Jenning’s eighth game as a starter. He’s put up good numbers in the previous seven games. The 27-year-old averages 36.9 minutes, 17.6 points, and 6.4 assists on a slash line of .438/.359/.781.

Tuesday’s game in Washington D.C. tips off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
