Hey, at least they scored over 100 points.

In the latest defeat for the NBA’s worst squad, the Brooklyn Nets, 109 points were thrown down. The problem for Kenny Atkinson’s squad came when realizing Minnesota Timberwolves put up a toasty 129 at the Target Center on Saturday night.

Minnesota grabbed the tempo and control of the game in the first quarter when they outscored Brooklyn 33-26. By halftime, the lead ballooned to eight.

Karl-Anthony Towns was a man among boys all night long. He tallied a game-high 37 points on 15-of-26 from the floor. He collected 13 rebounds, four blocks and even nailed two 3-pointers. Andrew Wiggins supported the big man with 23 points of his own.

For Brooklyn, Brook Lopez led the way with 25 points. No teammate of his could crack the 15-point level (Sean Kilpatrick, 14).

Brooklyn will take Sunday off prior to heading down to Miami for a Monday night affair with the Heat.
