New York Knicks-Atlanta Hawks: Carmelo Anthony ejected in second quarter (Video)

New York Knicks‘ Carmelo Anthony was ejected for the second time this season. This time vs. the Atlanta Hawks with a flagrant-two foul.

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony was ejected from Wednesday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after being called for a flagrant-two foul.

Anthony was tied up with the typically mild-mannered Thabo Sefolosha before throwing a shot right into Sefolosha’s face. The 32-year-old was initially called for a technical foul before the officials reviewed the call and threw him out.

It was Anthony’s second ejection of the season and a foolish play that could end up costing the Knicks the game.

Foolish, but not surprising. Melo has always had problems with his temper. According to ESPN Stats & Info, since his rookie season (2003-04) Anthony is fourth in most ejections.

Being on a list with Matt Barnes and DeMarcus Cousins isn’t exactly good company to keep. Of course Melo has always claimed to get a raw deal from the officials. Tonight could be even more evidence of that.

You saw the video. You decide.
