The day of reckoning has finally come for New York Giants fans, where their beloved Giants can clinch their first playoff berth since 2011 in a home game against the Detroit Lions.
Should the Giants beat Detroit, they would need a Green Bay loss or tie vs. the Chicago Bears, a Minnesota loss or tie against the Indianapolis Colts, and a Washington loss to the Carolina Panthers, in order to secure their spot in the NFL’s postseason.
Certainly, the story of the past two weeks has been the injury to Jason Pierre-Paul, though Romeo Okwara stepped up nicely for New York in their match up against the Cowboys last week. Joining JPP on the inactives list is the likes of safety Nat Berhe, and backup QB Ryan Nassib.

The Giants will be looking to get their offense back on track against Detroit, after scoring just 17 points per game over their last three contests. Key to that offensive rejuvenation is the return of Justin Pugh, the Giants’ left guard and best offensive lineman, who has been out during that three game stretch with injuries. Giants fans will be hopeful that he can jump start this offense to take advantage of their superior talent.
