Disappointed with Todd Gurley‘s fantasy football performance, a fan takes to Twitter to voice his frustrations.
Coming off a stellar rookie season that saw him put up numbers that shot him up to the top of the fantasy football rankings this season, Todd Gurley, much like the Los Angeles Rams, has struggled this year.
The second-year running back was a consensus first-round pick in all fantasy formats this year, people who drafted Gurley early this season were left with a sour taste in their mouth. After his latest disappointing performance against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, Twitter user @CodyHasek1 took to the social media platform to vent his frustrations.

It isn’t just his fantasy football numbers that have suffered either. After winning the AP Rookie of the Year award last season for his performance, Gurley has only averaged 3.2 yards per carry this season after averaging 4.8 a year ago. his touchdowns numbers are down as well, and even though he has received more looks in the passing game this season, his yards per reception are also down.
Being an internet tough guy is usually something NFL players look past, but in this instance, the struggling Todd Gurley took the comments personal, and responded.

This isn’t the first time that Todd Gurley has voiced his frustrations publicly. According to Scooby Axson of SI.com, Gurley once said, “We looked like a middle school offense out there.” I mean, I’m going to be quiet. My mom said if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t even say it. I’m just going to leave it as that.”
He went on to also question the effort of his teammates. When asked if he believed his team gave an honest effort in their 42-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, his words weren’t encouraging.
“I don’t,” Gurley said. “I really don’t. We’re just going through the motions. It looks like everybody’s just playing to get through.”
Obviously, a player should never respond to a fan in a negative way, as he always comes out looking like the bad guy, but threatening the well-being of another person based on his performance isn’t exactly the smartest move either. Fortunately for @CodyHasek1, he has a keyboard to hide behind, although he did get the last laugh in the Twitter battle.
