During Alabama-Auburn, the Iron Bowl, on Saturday, New York Jets legend Joe Namath broke out the fur coat on the CBS broadcast.

Have you heard? Michigan and Ohio State squared off on Saturday. I’m sure you already knew that. I’m also sure you already knew that it was the Buckeyes who came away with the thrilling 30-27 double overtime victory over the Wolverines, further advancing the squad’s National Championship aspirations.

But did you realize another top-notch rivalry was on display?

The Iron Bowl between powerhouse Alabama and Auburn was also played on Saturday. No. 1 ranked Bama took care of the No. 13 Tigers by the final of 30-12. But it turned out that the highlight of the game came in the broadcast booth.

New York Jets living legend and former Alabama quarterback, Joe Namath, made a guest appearance with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson.

Not only did Joe Willie kiss the departing Verne (departing from the broadcast booth after this season), he threw on his trademark fur coat:

Obviously, Namath isn’t opposed to kissing football TV personalities. We all remember the Monday Night Football Suzy Kolber incident:

You be the judge. Kolber or Lundquist?

Classic Joe Willie.
