The madness has already started in anticipation of UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden this Saturday, and, of course, Conor McGregor is involved.

It has already begun. UFC Featherweight Champ Conor McGregor, in anticipation of collecting the Lightweight belt from Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205 this Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, is talking smack.

He’s not only talking junk towards his opponent, he’s proclaiming he runs the city, via Brian Campbell of ESPN.

“I run New York City,” he boldly proclaimed. “I’m a f—ing pimp.”

It’s a nice effort. We’ll give him that, at least.

Obviously, McGregor has a way to go before taking the city from an Eli Manning, for example, but anything he can do that’ll get the Big Apple ready for the UFC returning to MSG is absolutely warranted.

This includes his outrageous antics which includes swinging a chair at Alvarez:

Alvarez didn’t bat an eye, saying, “”I’ve always been the underground king in this sport,” Alvarez said. “I just got this belt and no one’s getting it from me. … I’m prepared to completely destroy Conor McGregor and silence this whole damn crowd.”

This one should be fun.
