New York Mets: Tim Tebow Slaps Walk Off Single (Video)

New York Mets prospect and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow smacked an excuse-me walk-off single on Monday night.

There’s that clutch gene we’re all used to seeing.

Sure, New York Mets‘ prospect Tim Tebow is hitting a mere .146/.205/.171 in 12 Arizona Fall League games but in classic Tebow fashion, he shows up in the fourth quarter.

Wait, no. The bottom of the ninth.

On Monday night, the Scottsdale Scorpions and Mesa Solar Sox were knotted up at three when Tebow stepped up to the plate with the bases juiced.

On the first pitch, the former Heisman trophy winner squeezed a ball barely inside the third base line to score New York Yankees‘ prospect Tyler Wade to walk it off for the Scorpions.

Tebow finished the day 1-for-4 with a walk, strikeout, and left six men on base.
