Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets put up another stinger of a loss against the Miami Dolphins in South Beach on Sunday.

It shouldn’t really surprise anybody as a huge portion of the NFL is mediocre these days, but it’s painfully obvious this is the case when watching the New York Jets take on the Miami Dolphins from South Beach.
Oh yeah, the Phins won the game 27-23. Just when it looked like Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets had won the game with a Jalin Marshall score, after Dolphins punter Matt Darr couldn’t handle a snap, they couldn’t defend a kickoff — a kickoff that was re-kicked because of a penalty (offside on Antonio Allen).
Kenyon Drake took one back 96-yards:

With a little over seven minutes to go in regulation, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw one up for grabs that was intercepted. He was better off throwing it away in a situation the offensive line provided no chance.
Just a couple plays earlier, it had looked as if Robby Anderson scored the go-ahead touchdown:

It turned out he was touched on the way down and the Jets had to settle for the big gain, instead. Just one possession earlier, Fitzpatrick gave way to Bryce Petty thanks to a leg injury. Petty finished 2-2 for 19 yards.
Fitzpatrick ended his day with just 193 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. It was, without a doubt, another tough offensive day for the Jets led by horrid play from the offensive line and their QB.

Dolphins rookie stud running back Jay Ajayi couldn’t explode for his third 200-yard rushing game. Instead, he settled for 111 yards and a score on 24 attempts.

Prior to Chan Gailey abandoning the run in the second-half, Matt Forte and the run game played a pretty solid brand of ball. Forte finished with 92 yards and a TD on just 12 receptions.

Now at 3-6, New York will need a miracle to finish this season strong. It’s time for Petty.
