Derrick Rose Crosses Mike Conley To The Garden’s Delight (Video)

New York Knicks new point guard Derrick Rose crosses Mike Conley up en route to the bucket and two hard points at the Garden.

It’s official: Derrick Rose is back.

The vintage D-Rose we saw take home the 2010-11 NBA MVP award seems to have that explosiveness and edge to him yet again. Everything he showcased with the Chicago Bulls a half decade ago is playing out against Memphis Grizzles on Saturday night in the New York Knicks Madison Square Garden home opener.

D-Rose has collected eight points on 4-of-9 shooting while collecting three assists, two steals, and two rebounds. He’s marveled the crowd with pinpoint dimes and killer crossovers, one that came late in the third quarter against opposing point guard Mike Conley (video above).

It’s evident that, not only is his explosiveness back, but he’s finishing around the rim with the same ferociousness we saw during his MVP season.

The Knicks currently lead the Grizzlies 82-77 heading into the final frame.
