New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh now has double captain duties. He’s now a father to a healthy baby girl named Falan.

After last night’s win against the San Jose Sharks, Rangers Captain, Ryan McDonagh, stormed out of MSG after he found out his wife Kaylee was heading into labor.

According to fans outside of MSG who spoke to Mara Slegler and Jaclyn Hendricks of Page Six of the New York Post, McDonagh yelled out to fans who were waiting for autographs, his wife’s water broke.

The captain then ran down 7th Avenue sweating and had a look of nerve on his face. The fans then heard McDonagh scream, “I’ve gotta go!”

After that whole scene, McDonagh then used Instagram to announce the birth of his newborn daughter, Falan Erin McDonagh. The caption on that Instagram post stated, “I’m so excited to be a dad!”

The Rangers were then happy to announce that the Blueshirt’s have added a new member to the family.

In Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, the captain collected a point on Mika Zibanejad’s first-period goal, the very same day his child was born.

Hello Rangers fans, my name is Jake Weingarten and i really love the rangers. The rangers mean a lot to me, whether it's the fans, players, or the history. I've enjoyed many games at MSG and on the road, but none better then game 7 2015 against the Washington Capitals. If i had to choose a favorite blueshirt of all-time, it would be Carl Hagelin. Last thing, always believe in yourself and never doubt your thoughts. Let's go Rangers!.
