Watch New York Giants QB Eli Manning talk about offensive struggles, and LT Ereck Flowers blow off questions about his confrontation with a reporter.

The New York Giants offense, the strength of the team in recent years, is off to an extremely poor start in 2016. They’ve yet to forge an identity as they’ve been unable to sustain drives. Consequently, Big Blue’s offense is losing the time of possession battle big (73-47 over the past two weeks).

Two big reasons for that are QB Eli Manning and LT Ereck Flowers. Though the offense’s failures are not solely on them, they’ve played as poorly as anyone.

Flowers was dominated against the Green Bay Packers last week, giving up two sacks and being called for crucial holding penalties. It’s been the case all season.

Manning has been at his worst thus far. He’s turning the ball over at a rate reminiscent to the bad Eli of years past. He’s been under constant pressure, but he’s also missing throws. Lots of them.

Manning went around the Flowers shoving incident with an ESPN reporter and Flowers himself preferred to look toward Baltimore. Literally. If he’d been asked what he was having for dinner, the Baltimore Ravens are a great team would have been his answer. Check out their comments to the media from Tuesday.
