When the New York Mets take the field in April, it seems as if there is no room for sleepwalking early next year.
The New York Mets will open the season at home on April 3rd against a familiar foe in the Atlanta Braves.
However, that won’t be the only time they play a division rival in April. In fact, they play only NL east opponents during the opening month, so if they play well enough, they should be able to create some separation early.
Some other dates to know for next year:
- Subway series is Aug 14-17 (16-17 in Citi Field)
- Other interleague series at Citi Field: vs. the Angels on May 19-21, the A’s on July 21-23 and the Rangers on Aug. 8-9.
- The Mets and Nats will play twice in April, April 21-23 in Citi, and April 28-30
- The Mets will continue their Free Shirt Friday, Super Saturdays, and Family Sundays this season.
