Two weeks have passed in the NFL regular season, so where do all 32 teams stand? Here’s my week two power rankings.
By Vincent Rapisardi
My power rankings are a little different than others. Just because teams like the Seattle Seahawks or Indianapolis Colts are 0-2, doesn’t mean their season is all of a sudden over.
I look at the makeup of each roster – mainly with quarterback play – and go from there.
Sorry, New York Jet fans. Ryan Fitzpatrick just doesn’t do it for me.
I like the makeup of the Jet roster, but after a decade of playing in this league we know who Fitzpatrick is at this point.
Nothing will change. Trust me.
The same goes with Michael Vick, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler and others.
After awhile, what you see is what you get.
Just think of this, the Tennessee Titans and the now retired Jake Locker, smoked the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead stadium to start the 2014 season.
All signs seemed to pointing up for the young quarterback – registering a passer rating over 110 in that game – and the rebuilding football team, right?
Well, the Titans lost 14 of their next 15 games and Locker played in only seven regular season games, while throwing for more interceptions than touchdowns.
Cool it on the surprising teams with unprecedented early success.
Let’s get into this.
