For awhile we hadn’t know all the details regarding Jason Pierre-Paul’s injury. But after his visit with the New York Giants, some feel as though he might not play at all this season.
Well, it seems as though we may finally have a legitimate diagnosis.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, team personnel that checked out his hand feel as though his condition was downplayed when he refused to see the team over the last two months.
Graziano went on to say that many inside the organization feel as though the current condition of his hand could force him to miss the entire season. Which conflicts with numerous reports that he would be back within a month.
Didn’t it seem a bit sketchy when he headed back this home in Florida after he visited with the team within the last week?
Pierre-Paul left the New York Giants facilities without signing the franchise tag. With the fear in mind he would be placed under the NFI (non-football injury) list, that would cost him to missed the first six games.
There are still some who believe JPP could still return at some point this year, but this is obviously an uncommon football injury. I’m not sure any team doctor can really place a timetable on an injury that simply never happens.
More details to come soon, but this is looking like disastrous situation for both parties.
