Fans who can’t wait for hockey won’t have to wait much longer. The NHL Network will select 20 games to play during the preseason.

Hockey is back! With training camps across the league set to open later this week, the NHL Network released its television schedule. It all begins on Saturday, Sept. 16. The highlights of the schedule include:
- The first-ever Las Vegas Golden Knights game against the Vancouver Canucks on Sept. 17 at 5 p.m. ET.
- Bitter rivals meet for the first time as the New York Islanders visit the New York Rangers on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. ET.
- The second game of the 2017 NHL China Games features the Los Angeles Kings vs. the Vancouver Canucks. The puck drops at 3:30 a.m ET live from Wukesong Arena in Beijing, on September 23.
- A pair of original six teams meet up on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. ET when the Detroit Red Wings will play the Boston Bruins in the first-ever game at Little Caesars Arena, Detroit’s new home. We already miss Joe Louis Arena.
The NHL Network will use the television feeds for the teams playing, which will allow them to show multiple games in a short period of time.
