Ryan McDonagh was interviewed and discussed the Da Beauty League, summer in Minnesota the offseason moves made by the New York Rangers.

New York Rangers Captain Ryan McDonagh has been enjoying his summer in Minnesota. His family has been enjoying the lake, fishing, boating and enjoying as much time out side as the weather allows. Of course, he is working out to prepare for training camp.

Ryan discussed the changes and expectations for the upcoming season.

[Dan] Girardi and [Derek] Stepan moving on will give us a different look,” McDonagh told the NHL Network.

On Kevin Shattenkirk, the team’s big free agent addition, he said “The way he can play with and with out the puck, he is wondrous with the puck.”

Expectations are huge for the upcoming season. It’s good to hear the Captain sound excited to get back on the Garden ice soon.

McDonagh is playing in the Da Beauty League where 27 other NHL players are playing offseason hockey in Minnesota. Rangers teammate Brady Skjei is also a teammate of McDonagh in this league.
